For anyone booking train travel in the UK, this resource is useful: https://book.splitticketing.com/

UK rail fares can be expensive and baffling.

Sometimes it is cheaper buying a ticket from A to B and then from B to C, than it is to buy a direct ticket from A to C. This website searches for this kind of saving, and provides clear instructions on how to use the tickets.

I thought I’d post in case people weren’t familiar with this or were booking train travel in the UK for the first time and were put off by the prices.
